Bob shares from Acts 9:1-18 as we look at the person of Ananias.
Ananias was obedient in the face of doubt when sent to Saul in Damascus.
Bob explores how Ananias’ love and understanding of God led him to obedience.
Read Psalm 46 together, at the end repeat verses 10 and 11, focusing on the invitation to “Be still” in His presence and “know” Him close to us. Share how that makes you feel, amongst the craziness of life, and encourage each other in the confidence that comes from “knowing He is God”.
- Read acts 9:1-19, and discuss the idea that obedience flows from love.
- What do you think/feel about the word “obedience”?
- Has there been a time you’ve had to make a decision in complicated circumstances? What influenced you and what helped you make the decision?
- How can we, as a community, support each other through times of doubt and uncertainty?
Either as a large group or in 2/3s, share about any situations you, or a loved one, are facing where you need confidence in the face of doubts. Pray for eachother to know God’s sovereignty.
